Our September theme for our Wildcats was the “ME” dish project- a journey of self-expression, creativity, and seriously good food!
This isn’t just about following a recipe-it’s about telling a story. In this class, our students were tasked with creating a dish that serves as a self-portrait. Every ingredient maps to a specific memory, every technique a reflection of their journey and an opportunity to reminisce, and every flavor a glimpse into their personality.
The result? A menu of delicious self-portraits, BOLD, subtle, SPICY, sweet- each plate is a story for both our chefs and their tasters. It’s not just dinner; it’s a biography you can eat. Come meet our Wildcat Chefs and savor the unique flavors of their lives!

Every dish has a story, and our Wildcat chefs are telling theirs one plate at a time. The “ME” dish project has been a great process for our students to choose, create, and resonate with each plate as a self-portrait we all can actually eat! Who needs a Michelin star when you’ve got Wildcat chefs? As we put the final garnishes on these personal masterpieces, we’re celebrating the unique flavors each student brings to the table. What a perfect way to head into October holidays—full hearts, full plates, and full Wildcat pride.
