This week was a special one at SLAS as we took time to recognize and appreciate the incredible people who make our school what it is every single day. Our staff give so much of themselves to our students, families, and one another, and it was meaningful to slow down this week and simply say thank you.

Throughout the week, our community came together in so many thoughtful ways. Tuesday kicked off with afternoon snack deliveries to staff around campus.

On Wednesday, staff were treated to relaxing massages while NHS, NJHS, and StuCo students organized tea, coffee, and desserts for everyone to enjoy. One of the most meaningful moments of the week was watching the video messages students created for their teachers. Hearing students speak from the heart about the impact our staff have on them was a powerful reminder of why the work we do matters so much.

Thursday gave us another opportunity to come together during a staff BBQ, and we ended the week on Friday with a wonderful brunch provided by our supportive PTA. We are incredibly grateful for the continued support, generosity, and partnership of our PTA and all they do to help strengthen our SLAS community.

Weeks like this are a reminder that SLAS is more than just a school. We are a community where people genuinely care for and support one another. No matter the challenges or busy days, we continue to move forward together as one team with a shared commitment to our students and each other.

To all of our SLAS staff, thank you. Thank you for your patience, your energy, your compassion, and the countless things you do every day that often go unseen. You are the heart of this school and the reason SLAS continues to be such a positive and caring place for students to learn and grow. We appreciate you more than words can fully express.
