Minami Watanabe, a graduating senior at SLAS has received a high academic honor through her participation in the College Board Program. Through her diligent efforts and dedication to taking the Japanese Home Language class, she maintained an A+ average during the two years.

In May 2023, Minami took the AP Japanese Language and Culture Exam, an intermediate-level college class offered solely in Japanese. When students take the AP exams, they can earn a score of 1 to 5. When Minami took the exam, she earned a 5, the highest attainable score for an AP examination.

This in itself is a very high accomplishment, but not only did she receive the top score, Minami also had the privilege of being 1 of only 7 students worldwide to earn every point possible.  Congratulations to our very own SLAS Wildcat, Minami Watanabe (G12)!
