SLAS: At the Harmony Tree Speech Competition!

News

International Speech Competition, Asia division, Harmony Tree 2024-2025

Three students from our SLAS speech elective class advanced to the grand final of the prestigious International Speech Competition organized by Harmony Tree, Asia division.  The event, held live on Zoom, grouped contestants into small teams, each session lasting between 15 to 40 minutes depending on the number of participants and speech duration. The SLAS students chose the thought-provoking topic, “How Is Technology Changing Friendships.” They worked diligently in preparation, showing great commitment and passion. During the competition, they delivered their speeches with confidence and focus, engaging the audience with insightful perspectives.

We are proud to share that our talented students achieved remarkable success at the International Speech Competition.

Georgia Matese secured 6th place in Public Speaking, while

Divisha Suri earned 7th place in the same category.

Mine Sung secured 5th place in the Monologue segment.

This event was a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their strong communication skills on an international platform. Their achievements reflect not only their hard work and dedication but also the confidence and creativity they brought to the stage. We celebrate their success and commend them for making SLAS proud.
