In music class we are continuing to work on basic techniques on our various instruments.  In woodwind class, we have addressed breathing and fingerings.  We are now working on aural skills and understanding musical phrasing. In strings class, we are putting the final touches on Jingle Bells for the winter concert, and we are starting a new challenging song by G.F. Handel.  In guitar class, the students are focusing on mastering their musical pieces (Jingle bells and Ode to Joy) in preparation for the Winter Concert. The students are continuously learning basic guitar skills such as note reading, tempo and proper finger positioning.  In all classes, we are combining the techniques that we have learned to play new songs as an ensemble.  We are continuing to prepare for our Winter concert, and look forward to showing everyone our progress!
