We had a great Primary Reading Celebration on Friday, September 4. About 100 students participated. They were congratulated on completing the extra reading challenge. Students shared their reading posters, were ask to distinguish between several examples of fiction vs. non-fiction books, and read: The dragon is Red. Students discussed their favorite aspect of the book and their connections to it. Then teachers passed out their students reading certificates and each child was rewarded with an ice cream popsicle. Everyone had a good time celebrating their reading success.
