This week in EY we continued discovering new things about the wonderful animals that live in the ocean, the food they eat and the places they live. We learnt that ocean animals are different from one another and how we can take care of the ocean and protect the animals that live there. For our craft activity we made a “dump whale” as a whole class. We looked for and found many items in the classroom that can harm the ocean and placed it in our whale. Students were able to see the negative effects, littering has on the ocean. We concluded that recycling is the best way to go.
On Tuesday we visited the Natural history museum. This was a fun field trip with many things to see and learn. Students were very excited about seeing the dinosaurs, especially T-Rex :) This museum is so big and has a lot to offer, I would recommend revisiting as a family for your child to get the most out of the experience.
