This week in Preschool we were rolling right along with our Transportation theme! We read lots of stories about things that go, including our new favorite – Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, by Mo Willems. We also made our own hilarious stories on the iPad with Don’t Let the Pigeon Run This App! The Letter of the Week was A and we made an apple eating alligator letter craft. Our Logic/Numeracy lessons focused on same / different sorting and matching. The highlight of the week was a visit with Ms. Sarah’s bicycle. We learned about how a bicycle works, riding safety, and even pumped the tires! We will continue these hands on activities next week with scooter and school bus visits. We’re also planning some simple travel role play with airplanes, trains, buses and more as many families prepare to travel for Chinese New Year. We will also introduce some new Chinese New Year themed centers and activities next week.
