Theme: Happy Chinese New Year!
This week students were able to enjoy many special crafts and activities for China’s biggest holiday! Our words this week were Fireworks, Firecrackers, Sheep, Dragon Dance, Spring Rolls and Red Lanterns. In art and crafts activities students made glitter fireworks using non toxic paint and cotton balls, decorated sheep for the upcoming year and made red paper lanterns .On Wednesday students made their own spring rolls and ate them for afternoon snack! Students also learned a song to help wish others a happy new year: (Xin Nian Hao)
