This week, as part of our Literacy Week, we celebrated the work of DR. Seuss in the Early Years department. We had so much fun reading his books and completed fun activities according to the stories. We designed new hats for the cat, made green eggs and ham from play dough and best of all was dressing up in our wackiest outfits for Wacky Wednesday and making a stacked pancake hat for Dr. Seuss’s birthday. The pancakes came out beautifully. This week we also had students from the Primary department visit us to read stories. We really loved having them in our class and they did such a great job reading to our little ones. I’m very proud to say that we have some fantastic natural storytellers at SLAS.
In math we concluded our theme on measurement and started exploring shapes. We especially enjoyed going outside and looking around to see what shapes we could see in everyday objects, everyone was so excited to find so many different shapes all around the campus. All in all it was a great week, spring is in the air and it’s just been beautifully warm outside. Hope everyone has a great weekend and keep reading!
