Our cooking class field trip to the Zotter Chocolate Factory was an unforgettable experience! We got to see the entire chocolate-making process, starting from raw cocoa beans.
First, we learned how the beans are roasted to bring out their rich flavor, then cracked and winnowed to remove the husks. Next, we watched as the nibs were ground into a smooth paste, which was then refined with sugar and other ingredients to create delicious chocolate.
The best part was tasting different chocolates at various stages and even making our own chocolate bars! The tour was both fun and educational, giving us a deeper appreciation for the hard work and craftsmanship that goes into every bite of chocolate. A sweet trip and treat for all of us!
Stay tuned for more from our Wildcats’ Kitchen!
