Students in Grade 1 and Grade 2 have been working hard on their stories over the last 6-8 weeks. Each class has been having writer’s workshop where students learn about the process of writing a story. An example of what students have learned are  how to choose appropriate words, illustrating pages, writing an About the Author page, a price/cost list , a comment page, and so much more.

Students have been working hard on their stories and have done a wonderful job of turning their lessons into final products…stories! After all of their hard work, parents were invited to join the Writer’s Tea. Parents were able to read the final products.

In ESL, students had a Reader’s Theater. Students read a section of a story out loud. This give students the opportunity to add inflection to their reading while practicing spoken English.

All of our students did an amazing job on their work and we know they will continue to do so in class.
