After 5 years of joining in the Ladycats’ Basketball, it brought me to tears that it has ended. Today, we had the tournament at SAS Puxi and we played with sweat and tough. We lost the first game against SMIC, and the second game against SAS Pudong, but after a talk with our coach and co players, we rallied as a team and won against Dulwich. We may have began with losses this tournament, but we won our last game with the great efforts of our players this season. Thank you to the Coaches and my teammates for making this basketball journey unforgettable! Best regards to the future season and players. Captain Cabante signing off.

Basketball is a sport that involves a lot of moving and running. As a slow runner and not very strong, I did not like this sport very much. In fact, even during games, I am often told by coaches to jump and so on. However, there are many players around me who are younger than me, and they are all red-faced and doing their best. Whenever I see them, I feel like I have to do my best. I respect them. I think they will be able to produce results next year and the year after. I believe they can keep up the good work and I will be watching over our Lady cats! Korin

This is my second year of joining basketball team and I am happy to end it with pleasure. We had a tournament today. Although we were supporting each other at first, things didn’t go well, ending up with lost motivation which led to disappointing results. However, after changing one’s mindset with coaches and teammates, we decided to put effort on our last game and we won!! My experience from basketball has provided me with confidence and happiness. It is an unforgettable memory in my high school life. I’m grateful to work with our Coaches and Team members, and I hope our Ladycats will be continuing this journey and lesson next year! Initially, my height and limited skills left me skeptical of my potential in basketball, leading to not having much fun in the games. However, continuous practice gradually boosted my confidence and brought joy as well. I want to thank my coaches and teammates for a season filled with fun and learning. As a senior, these memories hold special significance, knowing that my university days may not include basketball. My only regret is that I couldn’t attend the tournament, but still I’m very grateful for the invaluable experiences we’ve shared!
